After 20 over weeks, THE LABEL crew has official graduated with wonderful grades:)
Thanks for all the support for past few weeks.
Please continue to support us and this blog as we have many surprises installed for next semester.
And if you ever see these three jokers on the streets, just say hi:)
We at THE LABEL have decided that it is unfair to all of you that we hyped the album so much, yet have not launched it.
Hence, we've decided to give all of you a sneak peek at what's to come.
Today's featured band is Almost An Accident. They are a 5-piece metal band from the school of Engineering. Their music is influeced by the likes of Dream Theater, Avenged Sevenfold, Bullet For My Valentine, and even Tupac. Click here to check them out and listen to "Blue Murder" - which will be featured on AUDIO INFECTION.
Check back soon for more previews.

And just when you thought the wait was finally over...
DAMMIT we've been delayed again.
To cut the long story short, and to avoid offending certain people in power, let's just say that things work in a more complicated way then we had initially expected, hence, there have been a lot of delays.
On our part, we have already completed production of the album - the songs have been mixed, album itself has been designed, and the entire marketing and promotions plan is ready to go - just that, well, the launch has been delayed yet again.
Currently, the launch date is April 2008.
Watch out for AUDIO INFECTION, featuring student bands and soloists from all over NP - including Cardinal Avenue, Almost An Accident, The Souls, Take Warning, Raceway, 5 Eyes Closed, NP Idol Charlene Chen, LSCT ShowStopper Finalists Gary and Kryshelle, and many more.
If you can't wait for it, do support us by downloading our teaser wallpaper by clicking on the link below:

As this compilation is going to launch real soon, do increase the frequency of checking
this lil space for the latest update as well as the exact launch date. Teaser is good! :)
Peace to all~
Merry Christmas to one and all who has been supporting The Label for past 16 weeks =) Hope you have enjoyed the entertainment and nonsense that we have put up for you for the past months up till now.
So, Sup Everyone! I'm given access to the label blog by Keith now! But no, I ain't here to wreck this place. Haha, anyway The Label hope YOU enjoy while you can during this term break, and that YOU gotta party throughout this year's Xmas a.w.a. New Year events! Thus, we wish you a merry xmas, and a... ... freaky new year!
In the meantime, The Label is working on the album production. Please do check back here for more updates regarding the album launch in January next year!
For those who have visited our blog before, you will realise that there is a change in blog layout now. This theme of the design is sorta futuristic-rock kinda feel, and I have emphasize on simplicity on the design, thus what you see now is a design worth a second look (I Hope), and have place a lil illusion effect. However, the contents of the blog and some features are subject to changes, so when you next return to this blog, you shall see some changes in it.
Finally, before I sum things up. I am Nelson, the designer of The Label. Currently a 1st year Aerospace Electronics peeps, I am eager to join The Label's team as I am quite interested in this project of Keith and crew, and is pretty assured that the album will be a great one with this great management team. So, that is all I have to say for now. Til the next update yea?
Merry Xmas! New Year Happy!
Peace,
Nelson "NPHRS"
Introducing Nelson, our new designer.
Our print ads will be much nicer, so do look out for them around campus.
Also, we are currently recording and mixing our album. Look out for it, launching Jan 2008.
Ok, so I ripped the title off Metallica's "...And Justice For All" album.
Nonetheless, recording for the album starts this week!
Also, our very own GM/Music Director/Session Guitarist/Song Writer/Composer/Arranger will be having his original songs featured on the album itself.
From the looks of it, THE LABEL is gonna be producing one ass kicking album, so watch out for it in late December or early January.
A good friend of mine dropped by THE LABEL recently and showed me a darn cool site that contains many many pranks that you pull on people when you are bored- the website address is www.bored.com by the way.
Some of the top rated pranks...
Lottery Ticket Swap
This one takes some pre-planning. All you have to do is buy someone a lotto ticket today and tomorrow go out early and buy another ticket with the exact same numbers as the winning ticket from yesterday. When the victim of your prank isn't paying attention swap the newer ticket with the old one. When the person looks in the paper for the winning numbers, he or she won't even realize the date is wrong on the ticket and will believe it is the big winner.
Push or Pull
Print out some signs that read, "Push" and "Pull" and tape them to doors at your local stores. Make sure to place them on the wrong side. Then sit back and watch as people push when they are instructed to pull and vise versa.
Anyway this is what we have been up to lately. Filming, filming, and more filmings...
Cheers,
Tong
The auditions last Wednesday went pretty well. There was a surprsing lot of talent. THE LABEL managed to sign about 15 bands and soloists.
Recording is projected to start next week.
Look out for the album, coming out around late December 2007 or early January 2008. So far, the lineup includes a death/thrash metal band, rock and roll bands, emo/punk bands, Mandarin pop songs, and ballads. This is gonna be one kick ass album, so look out for it.

Finally Our GM is back!
So Keith and I are both expecting something on our desk tomorrow morning, with our names written big big on it.
Anyway, THE LABEL will be darn busy for next few weeks, helping other FSV IBP film / video groups for shoots.
November 05 - 16 (MRS POSTMAN)
November 20th - 23rd (SWEET WRAPPERS).
Stay tune for more news.

THE LABEL
I've just went around the entire campus sticking the latest LABEL print ads all over. Damn, I feel like I just did an hour and a half of steady state cardio. The school is freaking huge.
Trivia: For those of you that aren't aware, the School of Engineering itself occupies about half (or more) of the NP campus.
Some of you may have read the print ad and noticed that there's a spelling error. "Wednesday" is spelt "Wedensday". Screw Adobe Photoshop for not having spell check. All I can say is, "Oops."
On a lighter note, here's a fine example of the perils of using the office phone...
Person: Is ____________ a loser?
Me: Err... I don't know if the phone is tapped.

Hi guys and girls
Ever wanted to do that Year 1 Radio Commercial Project but have to fight with your coursemates for use of that little 16 track studio that cant even work properly sometimes? Now you can record all the voices you want in this !
Mobile Acoustic Room- Bringing mobile recording to the next level
Imagine we go Changi Prison and ask all the prisoners to squeeze in this booth to record their drums and guitars (hehehe!)
Today, the four musketeers in THE LABEL office managed to figure out how to install a tag board after asking around all the blog expert 'kakees'. In the end, our good friend, Janice told us to go and Google for c box. I was like what the heck is a 'c box'?
Jessel: Eh Eh! Go and google for cbox! can use one!
TW: C box? what is that?
Keith: Aiyah, chicken rice in a box lah!
Lionel: But i thought they all come in packet one?
Jessel: Stupid dah! It is a box for you to C it. Can use it as our tag board for our blogspot lah!
Ok, that was real crap, but, you get the idea how we spend half an hour getting the C BOX.
It seems that our demo tape drop box has been stolen. Someone obviously couldn't resist the birght, neon green packaging.
Many people has been asking us to put a tagboard on this blog so they can join in THE LABEL's frenzy for crapological crap.
We are in midst of doing it, please be patient.
You all should have heard by now that we are producing a compilation album and are looking for musicians. All bands and solo artistes from all genres are welcome.
This album will be sold in NP and at local music stores, with selected tracks being played on radio.
So far, we have a couple of bands and singers already signed with THE LABEL. From the looks of it, the album is shaping up to be some real good shit. So if you want to be part of this guaran-damn-teed kick-ass album, hurry the hell up and contact our GM, Jessel, now at 91017230. Alternatively, you can drop a demo of your songs into our box, located outside our office at Block 52, #07-06.
In other news, THE LABEL is also looking for part-timers to join our team and help us with the marketing and promotion of the album. We'd prefer if you are skillful at design softwares such as Flash and Photoshop. CCA points will be given generously.
Do look out for our new print ads which will be up around the NP campus soon. They should keep you occupied (and entertained) while waiting for the super-slow, over-crowded lifts and take your mind off being late for class for a while.
Have a good day, everyone.

THE LABEL.
(By the way, I just calculated. Tong Wai and Jessel will have to drink about 90 cans of Coke to fill up the entire shelf. Sorry I can't contribute, guys; I'm training for Strongman 2008 in January, so I gotta watch my diet.)
Our kick-ass sound system (notice the TV and the PS2 hooked up to it - not that we have a lot of time to game.)
Being guys, we don't stock food up; we simply eat them all. Hence, our "pantry" looks like that:

THE LABEL
Yes finally THE LABEL has its own blogspot to blog about. I'm sitting in the office alone now, since everybody is gone. (In case you are wondering, our office is at #52-07-06.), typing away on the REALLY WOLS Mac.
Keith told me to blog about my job in THE LABEL, minus the slacking parts. so i guess this will be a really short entry.
In simple words, the job of the studio engineer in a recording label is to record, mix, burn the CD then throw it to Keith to sell. But here at THE LABEL, sometimes I also will kana arrow to do other things.
For example
Today, I went around the FMS block looking for a box. In the end, I just took one nice looking one that I found in the TSOs office. After that, I wrap it with nice looking paper that Auntie from the Atrium wrap sandwiches with(low budget low budget) and wawla, we got a nice looking demo CD drop box.
This is not a rubbish bin - dont throw your char siew bao plastic wrapper there ok.
So there, this is one of the things I do at THE LABEL besides recording good music.
Greetings,
This is Keith Wong, the (unofficial/self-proclaimed) Marketing Director of THE LABEL. My namecard actually states Marketing Manager, because well, the school doesn't need so many "directors", if you get my drift. However, since this is the unofficial, unsanctioned, uncensored blog of THE LABEL, I can call myself whatever the hell I want.
In case any of you are wondering, yes, I am indeed, the one and only, Keith Wong the King. But fret not, this blog isn't another Portal for the Self-Absorbed. It is merely an avenue for us to promote THE LABEL and it's artists and CDs, and of course, to amuse ourselves.
"Ourselves"? That's right, folks; THE LABEL isn't run by me alone. There're two other guys here, Jessel - our General Manager (GM) and Tong Wai, our audio engineer. You will hear from these two bloody buggers soon.
Now, contrary to popular belief, we do not merely sit around and blast rock music and play Counter Strike all day. We have tons of work to do. I, for one, have to handle every aspect of marketing; that includes (and is not limited to) advertising, PR, design, events, sponsorships, distribution and sales. Tong Wai and Jessel, on the other hand, have to handle bands, record them, and mix their tracks so that they are presentable on the album. In fact, in a couple of days, those two guys are going to Changi Prison to help them record some Christmas album, leaving me all alone in the office to handle the marketing aspect of things.
Coming back to the subject of this blog, since this is the unofficial, unsanctioned, uncensored blog for THE LABEL, we will be - aside from shamelessly promoting ourselves and our bands/albums - posting all sorts of nonsensical musings, so check back here regularly.
Rock N' Roll, bitches.
